![]() It's hard to know for sure, though, if the album art is being pulled from the existing file's metadata or if it's pulled from something OTA with Gracenote. If it just needs to be changed to something else that MyLink will recognize, okeedokee. You can change the album art so that the "Front Cover" is listed as "Back Cover" or a number of other options. I don't have my laptop with me at the moment, but I use a Program called Metadatics. I'm wondering if the Album Artwork needs to be listed under something other than "Front Cover". I could go on and on with what seem to me to be just basic things that need to be addressed. I remember seeing at one point on this forum that Gracenote will only be able to show album art for albums that existed at the time or earlier from when it was initially rolled out on the device (MyLink Update that came with the car initially)? Is that true? Is there no other way to force the correct artwork to be displayed? If the answer is no, doesn't that just seem to be ridiculous?Īlso as a side note, why do the album/artist names/titles not scroll when they're too long for the display to show all at once? Isn't that just a wrap around text option?Īlthough the MyLink stereo is MILES ahead of your standard "Dumb" stereo, the lack of follow through on updates to correct what are seemingly basic functionality issues are just awful. How is it that a great majority (maybe half?) of my music that's played through my Stereo (MyLink / 2014 Malibu LTZ2) just shows the generic "Genre" placeholder artwork or a picture of the band or artist instead? I know this has something to do with the Gracenote option, but I've experimented with that option both Enabled & Disabled. I actually have an auto-updating smart playlist created to show me any tracks that don't have any artwork, and it's currently empty. The music I listen to from my iPhone is all via Music.app and the Album Art there all comes from Apple. I've meticulously gone through all of the metadata on my USB Stick and confirmed every single music file has the correct album art set under the "Front Cover" item. I frequently alter listening sources from my USB Stick and from my iPhone 6S connected via Bluetooth. All functionality is available except of Save function.I'm a little confused on how the Album Art in MyLink works. ![]() You can also see and use Folder, File Name, Extension and other attributes of tracks for creation of tags.ĭownload free trial version of Tag Editor from /tag-editor to discover how quickly and easily the organising of your music collection can be done.ĭownload trial version of AMVidia Tag Editor for MAC to discover all its features.
